Abby Vohaska, RN

Abby Vohaska was born and raised outside the city of Chicago, IL. She grew up spending most of her summers with family, camping and enjoying the outdoors in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Abby attended Bemidji State University where she played Division II tennis and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, specializing in cardiac rehab. She participated in a longitudinal study with Sanford Health on the impact of concussions in youth football. She later coached competitive youth tennis before moving to Colorado to obtain her BSN in Nursing from Colorado Mesa University. During Abby’s time as a nurse, she has primarily worked as a NICU nurse or in Pediatrics.

Abby and her husband moved to Alaska in 2019 for the recreational lifestyle it had to offer. In her spare time she enjoys seasonal work as a whitewater raft guide. You can also find her rock climbing, snowboarding and sea kayaking, and when she needs to rest, she enjoys oil painting.
