Michelle Haimowitz, ANP

Michelle Haimowitz has been back in Alaska since 2021 practicing as a Pediatric GI Nurse Practitioner. Born and raised in New Jersey, she first came to Alaska in 2004 as a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Providence. She left a few years later to attend the Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Pennsylvania.



After graduating with a concentration in acute and chronic care, Michelle worked at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in various pediatric specialties, including gastroenterology, neurosurgery, and hospital medicine.

When not at work, she enjoys exploring Alaska with her partner and dog. Indoors, she spends her time knitting and engaging in various fiber and fabric hobbies.
